Islamic finance refers to financial activities that are consistent with Islamic law, or Shariah. The principles of Islamic finance are based on the belief that all financial transactions should be conducted in a way that is fair, transparent, and socially responsible. One key principle of Islamic finance is a prohibition on interest or riba. Instead, the focus is on profit-sharing arrangements, where risk and reward are shared between the parties involved. This means that Islamic finance often involves equity financing, rather than debt financing.
